Our Story and Mission
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.” ~ 2 Cor 3:17
Liberty Trailer is a family owned and operated business founded on this verse and the principles of doing right by our customers, work and employees, keeping relationships just as important as business.
Liberty Trailer Co., Inc. began in February 1992 in North Little Rock, Arkansas. The owner and founder, Bob Staton and his wife, Pat, opened the business with great faith in the Lord to guide them through this endeavor. Their oldest son, Randy, joined his parents in opening the business and a few years later, their youngest son, Jon, joined the company also.
With a few mechanics and a small parts department, Liberty Trailer began. In October 1995, Liberty Trailer moved to their new and current facility on Hwy. 70 off Interstate 440 in North Little Rock with 12 bays for the Service Department and a small area for the Parts Department. Business continued to grow and the Service Department was expanded to 16 bays. In 2006, expansion continued to include a larger Parts Showroom and warehouse for the convenience of the customers.
Liberty Trailer uses the tortoise and hare philosophy in growing their business to be strong and stable, growing at a slow and steady pace. They strive not to outrun the customer and the service they promise to deliver.
The Service Department has many years of combined experience in management and mechanics who take pride in their work and make every effort to satisfy each customer.
The Company has been involved with many community events including sponsoring sports teams, school activities in various areas of the state, and fundraisers for the needy and other organizations.
The owner and founder, Bob Staton, passed away in June 2007, but the legacy he built has continued to flourish under the supervision of his sons: Randy and Jon.
After 20 years of being in business, Liberty Trailer now has 32 employees which includes three generations of the Staton family and many loyal and hard-working men and women. The company is still growing and appreciates their customers and vendors that help make it all possible.
